The project employed usage data to identify opportunities to increase bin sizes, remove unused items, and manage first in, first out (FIFO).

This collaborative approach, which included sharing of best practices; strong organizational governance; shared principles; disciplined methodology; dedicated resourcing; and leveraging data from Vizient, the electronic health record and our data warehouse, resulted in systemwide improvements at scale.
