2023 Vizient PSO Topical Safety Webinar Series: Early identification and response to clinical deterioration
The presenters will use clinical deterioration as an exemplar for how artificial intelligence and machine learning is used to identify and intervene on high risk patients. They will present 2 models and 3 use cases that include how rapid response teams and night medicine attending providers apply AI to prevent clinical deterioration. There are also a number of considerations and governance aspects when using AI and the presenters will discuss those concerns and how the applications are used to augment the human based workflows. The presentation will also share information on how large language models like GPT can play a role in identifying clinical deterioration.
