Weighing the treatment options: guidance on the management of obesity

We will provide a thorough overview of the condition of obesity (statistics/prevalence, definition based on BMI, complications associated with obesity, medications that promote weight gain); management of obesity (lifestyle including diet/exercise/behavioral treatment, commercially available products); and recently published literature to support the use of new medications in the management of obesity. By doing this, the audience will be provided with the most current literature available to make informed decisions when assisting in the management of an obese patient.
