Vizient Southern States First Quarter 2020 Nursing Executives Meeting
This activity will provide education on the technologies currently under development that will shape healthcare of the future. It will allow for participants to engage in discussion about the impact of technology in their own organizations and exchange what has been successful as well as challenging along with strategies they implemented to address. We will be hearing from an expert in the field of tracking and keeping up with current and future technologies in healthcare along with information on what to expect and the potential impact and how to prepare for the future. There will be two of our member organizations sharing their journeys, one talking about the nursing model of the future using technology to implement a virtual nurse model, and the other sharing the impact of implementation of an accountable care unit to ensure safe and effective care. All of these are instrumental and imperative to attract and recruit new graduate nurses as well as maintain seasoned nurses. With all of this in mind, it is important to understand that the development of new technologies has and will further inundate the healthcare market and while not being the perfect solution, will improve the current status but will bring with it continual changes and upgrades and need for education, skill development and competencies.
