Vizient CDI Education Series 2021 - CDI & Cardiac Surgery: Getting a Good Pulse on Complex Surgical Reviews
This session will dive into the cardiac surgery population and discuss what makes them unique from other post-operative patients. We will walk through the challenging PCS code set to help assign the best surgical DRG for these patients and apply coding guidance. We will then focus heavily on potential CDI query opportunities for cardiac surgery patients with case studies for emphasis.
