Nurse Residency Program Virtual Coordinator Training – February 2021

February 15, 2021 to February 23, 2021

The NRP coordinator virtual training will give participants the knowledge, information and tools needed to successfully implement the NRP within their organization and support a new graduate nurse in the first year of practice.  Participants will also have the opportunity to network with other coordinators and learn from their experiences.

2.    Identify strategies to support the successful transition of new to practice nurses into the profession
3.    Define the benefits of the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
4.    Describe the role & expectations of the content expert in the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
5.    Discuss strategies to support the new graduate adult learner
6.    Utilize engaging ways for applying content
7.    Explain the various functions of the Facilitator in ensuring success of the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
8.    Describe the purpose of Clinical Reflection Time
9.    Apply the tools and resources needed to support a successful Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
10.    Describe the main components and application of an evaluation plan
11.    Explain the evaluation tools available for the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
12.    Describe the coordinators responsibility in evaluating the program
13.    Discuss strategies for continued success of Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program
