Bye, Bye, Bicarb: A Review on Controversial Uses of Sodium Bicarbonate

Sodium bicarbonate is a medication used in a variety of disease states. Recommendations on the use of sodium bicarbonate have changed over the years with new study findings being published. This session will review the appropriate uses of sodium bicarbonate based on the most current literature. This is important to review as the recommendations vary depending on the disease state.

- Recommend when to add or omit sodium bicarbonate in a medication regiment
