2022 CAPP-ECPC-MNS Fall Meeting
Two subject matter experts (SMEs) will speak on topics that are currently affecting all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, drug shortages and reimbursement. The members will not only gain knowledge from the SMEs, but they will also have opportunities to ask questions and share their own experiences so that they can learn from the experience of others.

1. Review regulatory calls to action and forward-thinking initiatives regarding drug shortages.
2. Present the concept of drug shortage stewardship.
3. Describe practices to manage drug shortages at a system level.
4. Assess the state of the gray market around shortages and the implications for health systems.
5. Discuss reimbursement from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in various healthcare settings.
6. Identify ways to stay informed of new and changing NTAP drug payments that exist.
Pharmacy technician learning objectives
1. Review regulatory calls to action and forward-thinking initiatives regarding drug shortages.
2. Present the concept of drug shortage stewardship.
3. Discuss reimbursement from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in various healthcare settings.
4. Recall the purpose of NTAP drug payments in the Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) and the requirements for eligibility.
