2021 Quality Leadership Series: Value Measurement and Hospital Rankings
This session will feature a panel of member CQOs and Vizient experts discussing their approach to navigating the “sea of health care rankings,” including CMS Stars, Leapfrog, US News, and the Vizient Quality & Accountability Report. Members will learn the key methodological differences between hospital rankings and hear strategies related to how the Q&A scorecard and other rankings are used to internally align and improve organizational performance. They will also learn how two different organizations have successfully improved performance to achieve high rankings.
- Review the key methodological differences in the hospital ranking systems and how to set strategy for improved outcomes.
- Discuss recent changes in the CMS Star Rating methodology and how it impacts hospital scores.
- Summarize how two healthcare systems successfully took steps to improve organizational performance and achieve high scores in the hospital ranking systems.
