2021 Nursing Leadership Series: Solving the Challenge - Creative Approaches to the Future Workforce

The most recent pandemic surge highlights the pressure to manage immediate workforce issues, however nurse leaders still need to be developing solutions to address future nursing workforce challenges. Recruitment into nursing and clinical care support roles has always been challenging but the fallout from the pandemic along with the increase in complexity of care has made the nursing profession less attractive. This program will highlight key objectives and points around planning for enough adequately prepared nurses to ensuring a safe, diverse, and effective healthcare system and will explore two nurse executives’ approaches to addressing the challenge of the future workforce today.
