2023 Clinical Leadership Series: Leveraging Data for Effective Staffing and Care Redesign

A radical shift in healthcare provision is occurring due to challenges highlighted by the shortage of healthcare providers. Effective care redesign allows healthcare organizations to assess current models of care and adapt those models to meet patients’ needs while considering limitations. Together, care redesign and the use data and technology tools offer health care organizations the opportunity to maintain or improve their standards of care while increasing efficiency, minimizing costs, and improving patient care. Temple University Health System and Houston Methodist representatives will share how they have leveraged data and digital tools to improve staffing, and consumer experiences, forge stronger patient-provider relationships and make it easier for providers to deliver high-quality care and better outcomes.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, health care quality professionals, and all other clinicians.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explore how data analytics can assist with the allocation of staff and support changing care delivery models.
  • Identify how digital technology and virtual care can accelerate the transformation of new care models.
  • Describe how individual healthcare systems have successfully invested in redesigning care to improve the patient and employee experience, and forge stronger patient-provider relationships.
