Antibiotic Stewardship Updates
Antibiotic stewardship is critical to patient safety and reducing antibiotic resistance. This presentation will describe the current landscape of antibiotic stewardship programs in the US and discuss next steps in this area ss well as provide an overview of The Joint Commission’s new and revised requirements addressing antibiotic stewardship in hospitals. The session will include an explanation of the intent behind the requirements, as well as strategies to help organizations prepare for implementation in January 2023.
