Joint Commission Medication Management Update 2022 - On Demand
The activity presenter is a subject matter expert on medication management from the Joint Commission perspective as he is a joint commission surveyor. The changing standards will be addressed as well as Q&A helping to provide valuable information and serve to narrow information gaps for meeting participants. The session will be an overview of complex Joint Commission medication management standards and how to reduce harm within organizations and promote patient safety. There will be a special emphasis on hazardous medications, pharmacy review and approval of medication orders including complex orders such as titrated medications. In addition, there will be discussion around medication management standards and interpretations that impact nursing practice.
