Perioperative Services: Pharmacy Practice Models and Safe Medication Practices
The perioperative and procedural setting continues to present challenges with regards to safe medication practices and oversight of those practices. ISMP has identified a need for healthcare organizations to share their best practices in these settings in an effort to improve visibility in this space and assists organizations in identifying practice gaps that may impact patient safety. This webinar will provide the perspectives of four speakers and the innovative medication safety initiatives implemented at their organizations in an effort to overcome challenges and improve perioperative medication safety. The topics discussed will highlight interdisciplinary collaboration, standardization, and other key strategies that contributed to the success of these initiatives. A Q&A session will be offered at the end of the presentation to allow for further discussion.
