Sybil Thomas is a seasoned pharmacy leader with more than two decades of experience advancing clinical operations, building high-performing teams, and delivering measurable results across complex healthcare environments. Currently serving as Assistant Vice President of Member Networks at Vizient, she leads Chief Pharmacy Executives to drive collaboration, share leading practices, and elevate performance across member organizations.
Known for her ability to translate strategy into execution, Sybil has successfully scaled large, high-impact initiatives, including national pharmacy network meetings with thousands of participants and robust continuing education programming. She is recognized for creating engaging, high-value forums that connect leaders, accelerate innovation, and strengthen member alignment. Her work reflects a consistent focus on operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and meaningful outcomes.
Prior to Vizient, Sybil held progressive leadership roles at Loyola University Medical Center, where she oversaw diverse pharmacy operations spanning inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings. She drove significant cost savings, process improvements, and patient safety advancements through thoughtful redesign of workflows, inventory management, and clinical practices. Her early career in retail pharmacy further shaped her strong foundation in patient-centered care, team leadership, and performance management.
Sybil holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
