2025 Imagine - PP08 - Operations Executives Peer to Peer Education Meeting: Ambulatory Enterprise Transformation: The Six Drivers of Access - On Demand

Shifts in care are evolving at a rapid pace. Health systems now derive a majority of enterprise revenue from ambulatory care services, including integrated medical group practices and ASCs. This new reality demands a more systematic, elevated approach to developing an optimal ambulatory strategy. The traditional model—dispersed physician practices and fragmented services—will no longer be market-relevant over the next decade. Today’s strategies must center on the patient, with a sharp focus on improving access and a strategic evaluation of the system of care to align with broader organizational goals.

Adding complexity is the continued evolution of the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) landscape. Health systems are navigating shifting volumes, rising competition, capacity constraints and increasing margin pressures. To remain competitive, systems must design enterprise-level strategies that capitalize on market opportunities—particularly through innovative ventures and strategic partnerships.

This meeting will uncover the primary drivers of patient access, explore how data and cross-industry methods can improve appointment availability, and highlight real-world examples of effective APP integration and system-wide transformation.

Insight into enterprise strategies that improve access, financial performance and workforce alignment—along with actionable approaches to accelerate ambulatory growth, enhance the patient experience and deliver sustainable results across the care continuum—will also be shared.
