Weighing in on Progress: Heavy-Hitting Updates on GLP-1RAs
Since the development of GLP-1 receptor agonists in the early 2000s, the indications for their use have expanded beyond hyperglycemic control. Physicians and pharmacists at Ochsner Medical Center have explored and questioned GLP-1RAs for a variety of disease states, but do not have clear guidance on their newer uses. The purpose of this presentation is to provide insightful updates on current uses of GLP1-RAs and to briefly refresh what is already known about this drug class.
