Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program Coordinator Call - Innovative Implementation: Two Out of the Box NRP Seminars
Assessment and nursing licensure are two topics that are difficult to engage nurse resident due to the nature of the content. Our first presenter has turned assessment into a game by creating “The Amazing Assessment Race.” Nurses are faced with different assessment challenges as they race to see who can finish the game first. Joanne has also translated this game to virtual use this year.
Our second presenter will be taking the audience through her risk management session where she does a sample deposition using her Risk Management team, actors, and volunteers from the audience. This presents the main points of nursing licensure that new graduates need to understand in a scenario that engages them.
