Vizient Pharmacy Network Meeting: Formulary and Shortage Strategies

The activity will provide participants with knowledge, approaches, and ideas related to leadership, population health, clinical patient care, regulations, communication, advocacy, technology, pharmacy practice, and pharmacy operations.  The knowledge, approaches, and ideas should be used by participants to compare to their individual practice sites and develop an action plan to improve their practices.  Additionally, the activity will encourage networking to develop relationships that can be used during and after the meeting to share experiences and provide mentorship in completion of action plans.

  1. Identify disruptive innovation impacting healthcare and pharmacy (pharmacists)
  2. Review opportunities for pharmacists to advance pharmacy technician/intern practice and applicable standards (pharmacists)
  3. Review opportunities to optimize pharmacy operations practices (pharmacists)
  4. Develop strategies to optimize medication management, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and inventory control systems (pharmacy technicians)
