Vizient Member Spotlight - UCHealth Virtual Health Center: Virtual deterioration (Sepsis) program
Sepsis is a time-sensitive condition with high mortality rates. The sooner the condition is recognized, the better the outcome; however, organizations continue to struggle to identify and start treatment due to multiple issues.
One concept that is showing promise in decreasing mortality and starting treatment of sepsis faster is a virtual nursing unit, with UCHealth being a leader in this area. UCHealth will discuss how their virtual nursing unit has helped identify sepsis faster and see better outcomes for patients.
