This is a 1 hour webinar which reviews current information on infectious disease considerations and antibiotic prophylaxis in pediatric patients undergoing ECMO support. The discussion will be pediatric ECMO indications, epidemiology surrounding ECMO-acquired infections, the ELSO’s recommendations for antibiotic prophylaxis, and a thorough review of published data discussing antibiotic prophylaxis with both antibacterial and antifungal medications.
