Seizing Control: A Guide to New Antiseizure Medications
Several new antiseizure medications have received FDA approval in the last decade. This presentation will review four of these medications and provide information on their indication, mechanism of action, dosing, side effects, drug interactions, efficacy, and appropriate use. This will help to bridge the knowledge gap by making pharmacists aware of these medications and their indications. It will increase competence by describing how these medications are initiated, titrated, and monitored.
