From Preserved to Progressing: Updates in the Management of HFpEF

This CE will be a 1-hour lecture on the most recent updates in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). This presentation will cover emerging discoveries in HFpEF pathophysiology, diagnosis, cardiac monitoring, non-pharmacological therapies, HFpEF management, and the management of HFpEF in the setting of various comorbid conditions, as well as evidence-based medication recommendations. Additionally, this presentation will place significant emphasis on the current literature that is shaping our understanding of HFpEF treatment. The pertinent trials will also be included, along with discussions of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists, sacubitril-valsartan, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists, and finerenone.
