Precepting a Medication Use Evaluation
This activity will include a review of ASHP Medication Use Evaluation (MUE) guidelines and common challenges for residents and preceptors completing MUEs. The activity will include an interactive component where participants will design an MUE including study question development, primary and secondary endpoints, and data collection elements.

- Recall key concepts from the ASHP Guidelines on Medication-Use Evaluation.
- Recognize common barriers to resident MUEs and generate potential solutions.
- Design a MUE including specific goals and objectives, therapeutic and process outcomes to be measured, and data collection elements.
