This activity will provide the participants an opportunity to learn from experts in the field. The program will provide examples of the challenges, successful implementation and mitigation strategies for healthcare environment and life safety regulatory / accreditation rules and standards as well as how to drill down to uncover the barriers to being successful and how to maintain the gains.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Define the regulatory requirements to the physical environment survey process.
- Describe the Joint Commission physical environment survey process.
- Effectively describe the basic components of developing a healthcare environment program.
- Develop recommended compliance strategies to evaluate the healthcare physical environment program effectively.
- Discover strategies for partnering with the Facilities Management staff to ensure successful implementation of a compliant Life Safety Program
- Outline the foundational expectations for Life Safety Compliance
- Identify and examine the common vulnerabilities to a Successful Life Safety Program
- Develop recommended compliance strategies to evaluate the life safety program effectively
