LISN Supply Chain Institute - August 2025
LISN Supply Chain Institute is an exclusive, in-kind offering for LISN member organizations, collaboratively developed by Vizient and the LISN Strategic and Operational Excellence Subcommittee. This unique offering, which contributes to the execution of its Workforce Advancement strategy defined in LISN’s strategic plan, will help attendees gain a greater understanding of contemporary spend management principles, category management contracting, negotiation skills and clinical supply chain integration. Participants will be able to join unique networking opportunities with LISN colleagues from across the nation.
Target Audience
- LISN member supply chain management staff serving between years 1 and 3 in each organization.
Participant Requirements: Ability to log into Vizientinc.com with basic knowledge on how to use Contract Catalog, user profile settings, network group communities and applicable Vizient tools. Know the difference between local and Vizient national or aggregation group contracts.
As a reminder, Institute classes are camera-on and highly interactive. We keep our class size small to enable individualized attention and hands-on learning.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify and apply fundamental principles of supply chain management, including key terminology, contract types, and the role of performance metrics in driving continuous improvement.
- Recognize effective supplier performance management practices, including techniques for evaluating and managing supplier relationships to support strategic sourcing goals.
- Demonstrate negotiation skills and assess risk management strategies, using supply chain-specific case studies and exploring the development and implementation of comprehensive business continuity plans.
