INSPIRE Trials: Stewardship to Improve Empiric Antibiotic Selection in Hospitalized Patients - On Demand
The activity will evaluate the use of extended-spectrum antibiotics for patients hospitalized with pneumonia or urinary tract infections and attempt to shift prescribing habits towards choosing standard-spectrum antibiotics for patients at low risk for antibiotic resistant infections. The activity will also identify patient risk factors associated with high risk for antibiotic resistance.
