Implications of mTOR Inhibitors on Hepatocellular Carcinoma Recurrence in Liver Transplant Recipients
The purpose of this activity is to provide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with literature regarding the use of mTORi in HCC patients that are post-transplant. By providing pharmacists with information regarding the recurrence and rejection rates for this patient population it will allow them to make well informed suggestions to the interdisciplinary team.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, pharmacists should be able to:
- Describe the role of the mTOR pathway in HCC
- Evaluate the risks and potential benefits of transitioning liver transplant recipients with a history of HCC to a mTORi
- Design an appropriate immunosuppression regimen to aid in the prevention of HCC recurrence after liver transplant

- Review the mechanism and dosing of mTOR inhibitors
- Understand the risks and benefits of using mTOR inhibitors in liver transplant patients at risk for HCC recurrence
