eVADing Complications Through Use of Medications

This presentation will ensure that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians understand how to identify LVAD patients, what complications the patient may experience, and specific medication therapies that are used to prevent and treat device related complications. Participants will be able to locate relevant literature/guidelines as well as institutional specific protocol in order to assist the care team in optimizing patient outcomes for this unique and quickly growing patient population.
