DOAC Use in Pediatric Patients
The purpose of this activity is to provide pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other providers with information that would allow them to recognize if a DOAC is the appropriate treatment option for a pediatric patient. By providing the interdisciplinary team with this information, it may allow for safer, more effective, and more convenient anticoagulant options for pediatric patients. This may allow a greater quality of life for these patients and reduce costs to them and to health systems, by reducing adverse events and lab monitoring.
