After completing this program, attendees will understand the most significant changes to the Fiscal Year 2023 ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and updated ICD-10-CM diagnosis and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes. The attendees will also understand the impact of these changes to MS-DRG assignment and the capture of variables, particularly social determinants of health, affecting national scorecard rankings.

Learning Objectives
1. Apply the Fiscal Year 2023 additions, deletions and modifications to ICD-10-CM Complications and Comorbidities (CC) and Major Complications and Comorbidities (MCC) and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes.
2. Describe noteworthy changes to the Fiscal Year 2023 ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting.
3. Interpret Fiscal Year 2023 ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS guideline and code changes as it pertains to Clinical Documentation Improvement and inpatient coding and MS-DRG assignment.
4. Discuss significant Fiscal Year 2023 changes to MS-DRG assignment, relative weights, and Geometric Mean Length of Stay (GMLOS).
5. Describe the impact of application of Social Determinants of Health codes relative to capture of variables supporting national scorecard rankings.
