Catching Up to Coronavirus: Emerging COVID-19 Therapies

This continuing education activity will provide a detailed overview of the management of patients with COVID-19 infections. Included in this presentation will be pathophysiology, risk factors, epidemiology, and pharmacologic management. After participating in this activity, pharmacists should have a better understanding of the disease stat and how to manage this patient population, and be a resource for other health care providers.

  1. Review the pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of COVID-19
  2. Evaluate current literature surrounding COVID-19 specific therapies in hospitalized patients
  3. Identify appropriate patients for COVID-19 specific therapies
  4. Develop and appropriate treatment plan based on a patient case
