Beyond the Scale: The Expanding Reach of GLP-1 Agonists
This activity examines how GLP-1 receptor agonists provide cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic benefits beyond weight reduction and summarizes pivotal trial evidence across conditions such as OSA, PCOS, MASLD, and substance and Alcohol use disorder. Using case-based scenarios, learners will interpret guideline recommendations and determine when GLP-1 therapy is appropriate outside obesity management. Interactive polling and guided discussion will be used throughout to drive clinical reasoning, address safety considerations, and promote individual reflection for practice change.
Target Audience
- Pharmacists
- Pharmacy Technicians
- Other Healthcare Professionals
