The Alphabet Soup of Hematology: Understanding ITP, TTP, and HUS
The purpose of this activity is to provide pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare providers with information that would allow them to recognize the signs and symptoms of these rare hematological diseases. By providing the interdisciplinary team with information regarding the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases it is our hope that patients will be provided with a timely diagnosis. This would allow these patients to receive guideline directed treatment sooner providing a better quality of life as well as reducing medical spending for the patients and health system for extended work up periods and inpatient stays
