PSO 2023 HRO AND SAFETY EDUCATION SERIES: Building capabilities for coping with and recovering from adverse events to improve patient safety outcomes
This series of activities will discuss approaches to high reliability and developing a culture of safety to identify and prevent patient harm. Subject matter experts will share innovative strategies for developing a culture of safety, analyzing safety data to target improvements, and developing metrics to monitor and improve patient safety. Topics for the series were developed based on member feedback and requests.

Learning Objectives
- Discuss the factors impacting healthcare worker wellness, mental health and burnout
- Identify barriers and stigmas associated with seeking help from wellness or healthcare worker support programs and how this impacts safety
- Identify strategies for creating awareness and addressing healthcare worker wellness as a system priority
