Vizient Mid-Atlantic and Central Atlantic Network Meeting of the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Operations Officers
The Vizient Mid-Atlantic and Central Atlantic CFOs and SOOs (includes COOs and CEOs of smaller hospitals within a system) are from hospitals and health systems from across PA, NY, NJ, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and both North and South Carolina who will convene to address pressing issues and challenges, learn from subject matter experts, and each other to share successes. This event will address specific educational need both from subject matter experts and from each other around keeping pace with the changes that need to be made in todays, and the immediate future, health care environment including incentivizing physicians to achieve better alignment, knowing how to thrive in a downside risk arrangement, recent and potential federal legislation that will affect how providers need to operate, better ways to optimize labor which takes up 50% of total costs including contract labor, an capital market/access models, and ways to secure critical capital for expansion and renewal.

- Outline critical steps and approaches to best position hospitals and health systems for downside risk arrangements
- List the top critical challenges facing hospital and health system financial and operating officers through member-to-member interaction including more efficient and effective approaches to drive improvement in operations, quality, safety, and financial areas
- Discuss ways to optimize a provider’s workforce and to control labor costs including contract labor in a successful way
