Stan Kellar
I graduated from UAMS in 1976. I completed an internal medicine residency in 1979 and practiced inpatient and outpatient internal medicine for 4 years. I then completed a pulmonary fellowship and began practice at Baptist North Little Rock in 1986. I continued in private practice, practicing pulmonary, critical care and eventually Sleep Medicine. I transitioned to the CMO role at Baptist Health North Little Rock in 2014.
During my tenure we significantly reduce our CLABSI and CAUTI rates, significantly reduced our mortality and readmission index, spearheaded the system Antimicrobial Stewardship program, started a medicine to bedside program at North Little Rock and initiated a BPA committee to reduce the number of alerts interfering with the providers seeing important alerts.
Our recent efforts have focused on improving through put initiatives to off load our ER.
