Ahnna Parker, MSN, RN, CIC, in her role as Accreditation
Advisor, is responsible for delivering Regulatory and Accreditation
Services including mock surveys/gap assessments for hospital,
critical access, ambulatory and behavioral health programs,
disease specific certifications and CMS conditions of participation.
Ahnna also provides coaching during TJC surveys to brainstorm
evidence of compliance or mitigate areas of non-compliance. She
has served as faculty for educational presentations on
accreditation and CMS compliance topics. In her role she ensures
that leaders are receiving maximum value from their participation
in Vizient’s accreditation advisory services.
Ahnna has 40 years of experience in healthcare including Senior
Leadership positions at Hospitals including Critical Access,
Academic Ambulatory Healthcare and Infection Prevention and
Control. Her leadership roles include having served as Chief
Nursing Officer, Director of Infection Prevention and Control and
Assistant Professor teaching Leadership and Management.
Clinical experiences include having worked as a Registered Nurse
in Critical Care, Med-Surg and Level 1 Trauma Center.
Prior to joining Vizient, Ahnna worked as an Ambulatory Field
Surveyor for the Joint Commission. While at TJC, Ahnna also
conducted “For Cause,” Immediate Threat Abatement, CMS
Condition Level Follow-up and Preliminary Denial of Accreditation
Surveys.
Ahnna earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor
University and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing.
She is certified in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC).
