Medication and Hydration

December 22, 2025

Optimal patient outcomes depend on safe medication administration and effective hydration management, two closely connected components of quality nursing care. This continuing education activity provides nurses with evidence-based knowledge and practical strategies to assess, monitor, and manage medication and hydration needs across diverse patient populations and care settings. Participants will review the physiological principles of fluid balance, the pharmacologic considerations that influence hydration status, and the impact of hydration on medication efficacy and safety. The program also explores current best practices, teamwork among health professionals, and patient education strategies that support safe and effective care.
