The purpose of this activity is to educate pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on the history of penicillin, types of allergies, pathophysiology, allergy risk factors, cross-reactivity with other beta lactams, allergy assessments, and management. The presentation will also address the current literature and the problems associated with penicillin allergies.
