Management Strategies of Mucormycosis

Ochsner Medical Center treats a significant number of patients who are at risk for the development of mucormycosis. Timely diagnosis and management is key in reducing the risk of mortality. This presentation will provide up to date, evidence based information regarding the diagnosis and treatment of mucormycosis allowing the pharmacy clinician the knowledge and competence to formulate therapeutic recommendations in a practice setting. Each management strategy will be reviewed in addition to the available evidence supporting the strategy.
