Antibiotic Stewardship in the Ambulatory Care Setting: The New Frontier - On Demand
This educational program will provide the participants with best practices for how to improve antibiotic use in the ambulatory care setting which includes outpatient clinics, retail settings, and urgent care. In addition, it will provide didactic training for those who are unfamiliar with the key concepts that pertain to improving antibiotic use in the outpatient population.
More specifically, they will focus on:
1. Background and history of antibiotic use in the outpatient setting and its impact
2. The negative consequences associated with antibiotics use
3. The current state of inappropriate antibiotic prescribing in common infections in the outpatient
