2026 Impact - T27 - Level Up the Nursing Workforce: Building Confidence, Competence and Leaders - On Demand
Health systems often struggle to sustain their nursing workforce beyond initial licensure and into leadership. This session features nursing leaders from Reid Health, the University of Kansas and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania who collaborated with Vizient to implement a structured, longitudinal pathway supporting nurses from newly licensed practice through early leadership roles. Attendees will learn how intentional transition programs, leadership development and shared accountability improved retention, engagement and readiness for nurse leader roles. This is a must-see session for organizations seeking scalable, data-informed strategies to stabilize the workforce and grow future nurse leaders.
