Trauma Informed Professional Development for Transition to Practice
Attendees of this continuing education session, led by Dr. Heidi Gilroy, can expect to gain a comprehensive understanding of trauma and how to identify its signs within professional settings. The session will delve deeply into a trauma-informed approach to professional development, providing attendees with the principles and practices necessary to foster a supportive and empathetic learning environment. A key focus will be the application of this approach within nurse residency programs. By the end of the session, attendees should be equipped with practical strategies to enhance their professional development programs and support new nurses dealing with trauma.
