Marilu Kelly, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CHCP is the Director, Continuing Education at Vizient and has over 30 years’ experience as a registered nurse. She started her career as a critical care nurse before transitioning to a role as a nurse educator within an associate degree nursing program. During her 13 years of service at the college, Marilu progressed from an adjunct faculty role to tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing. She then transitioned from pre-licensure nursing education to the professional development continuing education space starting as a clinical editor and then progressing to Director of Continuing Education at one of the world’s largest publishing companies. Just prior to joining Vizient, Marilu held a position as Senior Operations Manager at the ANCC NCPD/Joint Accreditation Program. She also held volunteer roles as a Joint Accreditation surveyor and ANCC NCPD Accreditation appraiser. Marilu received both her Bachelor and Master of Science in nursing degrees from Villanova University, Villanova, PA. and holds two certifications: Nursing Professional Development, Board-Certified (NPD-BC) and the Certified Healthcare CPD Professionals (CHCP) credential. Marilu enjoys spending time on the golf course with friends and family. She is a committed volunteer to several charitable organizations.
